请问一个问题:

Essay的字数超过一点要紧吗? 我现在在写Career Goal的那篇,字数限制是1000个字,但是我写了1140左右.我觉得不能再cut了,否则内容表达不清楚,但是又不知道要不要紧,请大虾指教J

Hmm.. 40 words over might be okay but 140 is a bit too much. I'd try to follow their guidelines. Word limits are word limits. It's not worth getting on Admission's bad side because of this.

are you sure that Wharton can not tolerate exceeding word limit? If cutting words will destroy content, what will you choose?

u can search wharton q & a in adcom blog. one post related to this issue. 1) if you had,say, 50 words more than the limit, how abt over 60 words or 70 words? Then, where is tolerable cut-off? 2) Should articulate your idea within limit. they think concise expression is basic.

But they will not physically count the no of words.

1140 is OK. The reader will not count your words.

If you submit it electronically, it's counted the words automatically.
