如果按照mariezhu兄的说法，我觉得题目说的有问题，

然后，since it is unlikely that Swift would have the mechanical problems with more than one or two scheduled flights on a single day

我觉得第2句话得scheduled flights应该该成airplans才能理解。

前面已经说了9个scheduled flights canceled, 后面又说不可能有more than one or two scheduled flights有机械故障，真的不知道在说什么？如果第2句该成airplans，正好是一个桥梁型的假设，在scheduled flights和airplans之间的桥梁。

请教高手，你们怎么第一遍就知道原文中第一个flight是航班，第2个flight是飞机？？

其实,A选项是排除只有一个飞机飞9个SCHEDULE FLIGHTS CANCELLED的可能. 因为如果只有一个飞机飞这9个FLIGHTS,则CANCEL的原因完全可能是机械原因. A选项排除这个可能,故为ASSUMPTION

另外,FLIGHT指航班,不是飞机

比较同意蝙蝠侠的观点，第二个要理解为飞机
