[求助]GMATprep 几题

In a certain conference room each row of chairs has the same number of chairs, and the number of row is , less than the number of chairs in a row. How many chairs are in row?

(1)there is a total of 72 chairs

(2)after 1 chair is removeal from the last row, there is a total of 17 chairs in the last 2 chairs

不明白题目的意思

每排椅子数是一样的，排数小于每排椅子数。

（1）XY=72,题干知X<Y,且均为正整数。这推不出唯一解啊。

（2）好像最后一个单词写错了吧，不是chair,是row吧？

这题我也做到了，但是总觉得特别较劲......

OK,我说LZ的题目有点问题吗，这个应该是对的。

设X ROW,Y CHAIR/ROW

（1）X*Y=72,X=Y-1，可解出Y=9

(2)Y-1+Y=17,可解出Y=9

"each row of chairs has the same number of chairs, and the number of row is 1 less than the number of chairs in a row"

主要是这句话看着怎么那么绕呀~~

如果设row=n, each row has a chairs,then n=a-1??

followed by statement(1): 72=n*a=a(a-1) ==>> a=9??

这样的理解对吗NN们？？？

(1)N(N-1)=72=>>N=9

(2)N+(N-1)=17 =>>N=9
