Kellogg interview waiver...now they want a phone interview

Hi guys,

I am a r2 kellogg applicant. Interview was first waived, but kellogg emailed me yesterday to schedule a phone interview. Anybody has the same experience? What kinda question do they ask? I think phone interviews are conducted by adcom directly, so my guess is that they've already read my essays. What more is there to ask? Help help....

prelude, did you request the phone interview from adcom, or they just directly contacted you?

nope....waterloo. I did nothing when I got the interview waiver. I didn't even bother to email them and telling them i want an interview, but i guess they'd call if they need to find out more about you.

I bet they are interested in your case, congratulations!

make sure you are ready for the common questions like why mba? why now ? why kellogg? I don't think phone interview is going to be tough, good luck!

also got mail asking me to schedule the phone interview. really hate phone interview coz it's like talking to a recorder. but what else we can do.

the most funny part is that even for a phone interview, they can't arrange it until Mar.4th. kellogg, I 服了u!

congrats for the interview invitation. take it easy as kellogg interview is quite relax one with many standard Qs.

well, dennis..... I heard that for phone interviews they've already read all your apps. So i guess the normal why MBA questions will not be asked. I checked on BW but not alot info on phone interviews? how are you preparing for it. Mine's on thursday this week.

Even if they read all your materials,they'll still be asking cliche questions like why MBA, why kellogg. i don't really prepare for specific questions. i just look through my application package and have a total picutre of who i am, what i want to do and why i choose kellogg.
