well, guys, read your applications and essays. but don't freak out if the phone interview is short. sometimes they just want to clarify something that's unclear in your file. incidentally, a friend of mine (US applicant) who was admitted R1 had her alum interview waived initially. Then she had the phone interivew, which lasted 7 minutes! She had the worst holiday season waiting for the final deicison. You'd think a 7-min interview pretty much sealed her fate. but it pans out nicely at last.

guys...did my phone interview with K last night. To my surprise, the admission director hasn't gone through my file. So it was a blind interview. Hmmm.... that's different from what i read on BW. Anyways.... they have started releasing decisions lately. Fingers CROSSED. Good luck to all of us.
To answer your questions. The interview was quite straight forward. The typical why mba, why you, why kellogg questions were asked. Moreover, there are questions on leadership and teamwork experiences. What will you be doing outside of its academic curriculum was another question raised during the interview. Interview was quite short (around 15 to 20min). Hope this helps. And yes numero... time difference is 14hrs.
FYI: It is also possible that the school arranges alumni interivew for you, as it happened to me. In my case, the interviewer is a CPA! His questiond are centered on resume, more accurately , every word on your resume. He only ask one regular question: why MBA.
Although I have learnt that Kelogg enrolled only a handful of Chinese, I am still a little bit surprise when he told me that there were only 4 among over 600 came directly from mainland China.
