说说admissions411这个网站

我个人认为www.admissions411.com是个很有价值的网站，证明过程如下。

I. 第一个例子：HBS

2004年(class of 2006)数据according to http://www.hbs.edu/about/mba.html(没有选择去年的数据是因为去年被称作year of applicants，是近5年来申请人数最少的一年。而今年似乎申请人数有所回升，所以2004年更具有可比性。下同）

Total enrollment in Sep: 895; Application: 7,130; % Admitted: 13%

2006 R1 数据according to http://www.admissions411.com/

Applicants: 243; Interviewed: 60; Admitted: 33

=> % Admitted: 13.6% -- 几乎与2004数据完全一致。

=> % Interviewed: 24.7% -- 与BW说法一致。

=> % Interviewed who are admitted: 55% -- 与BW上的说法一致。

II. 第二个例子：Stanford

2004年(class of 2006)数据according to BW B-school Insider:

Total applicants: 4,697; % Admitted: 10%

2006 R1 数据according to http://www.admissions411.com/

Applicants: 127; Interviewed: 33; Admitted: 14

=> % Admitted: 11% -- 非常接近BW 2004的数据。

=> % Interviewed: 26% -- 与学校公布的“大约会面试800到1200人”一致。

=> % Interviewed who are admitted: 42% -- 与BW上说法一致。

III. 第三个例子：Wharton

2004年(class of 2006)数据according to Wharton Program View Book:

Total applicants: 5,625; Total admitted: 1230; % Admitted: 21.9%

2006 R1 数据according to http://www.admissions411.com/

Applicants: 174; Interviewed: 91; Admitted: 32

=> % Admitted: 18.4 % -- 比较接近21.9%

=> % Interviewed: 52.3% -- 与BW说法一致。

=> % Interviewed who are admitted: 35.2% -- 与BW上说法一致。

选择了这三所学校作为例子是因为这三所的申请人最多，数据点相对更多于是更有代表性。

结论：学校与学校之间，年与年之间，不同国籍的申请人之间的不同千差万别，用简单的数据显然无法概括。但是这个网站集中了几百个数据点，于是这个抽样的代表性就相当高了。可惜中国人在上面注册的比较少，否则对我们的指导意义会更大一些。建议大家都去注册一下。对我们推测那些学校对GMAT/GPA有偏好，那些学校第一轮第二轮区别很大，那些学校对那些背景更喜欢会有一些启发，虽然不全面，但至少是真实的数据。

读到这儿的人大概也看出来了，我这个人比较啰嗦——其实我就一个意思，人多力量大，如同我们中国人对付GMAT一样，这个网站算是我们弱小的申请人为数不多的武器之一吧。
