"Since the physical work environment affects employee productivity and morale, the employees themselves should have the right to decide how their workplace is designed."
-----------------------

The speaker here asserts that employees have the right to decide their workspace design. Actually, there are some debases regarding this issue, and different people hold different view because of their different backgrounds. As far as I am concerned, I agree with the author for the following reasons.

First of all, the chief reason that can be presented to support my opinion is that working environment plays an important role in employees' productivity.  Since people knows themselves better, it makes sense to assume that the working environment designed by employees themselves who will be working in it each day will serve the employee better and boost higher productivity. We can see the case particularly clear in Google, the world's largest search engine company. It encourages their employees to work with the office design company. Its employees feel relax and comfortable to be working in their offices like their homes. In year 2001, Google was rated one of the most attractive companies to work for in the United States.

In addition, another reason for my view is that letting the employees to design their own working space means encouraging the employee to participate more company activities. The more the employees get involved in the company's decisions, the more the employees regard the company as their own company. Instead of just simply working and working each day, they will be more motivated and be more willing to contribute their intelligence and time. It is easier to see that a company with more motivated employees is much easier to survive and to thrive this today's tough market.

Admittedly, some people may argue that a company needs to have a consistent style in its office design. However, this point only does not constitute a sufficient support to claim that the employee should not get involved in their workplace design. For example, Google provide their employee a general guideline in regard of the office design. With the help from the office design company, it employee can maximize their imagination in this framework. The result is that Google today has a consistent design style in its offices, which also reflect its employees’ personality.

To sum up, due to the above reasons, which sometimes correlate each other to generate an integral whole and become more convincing, we may safely reach the conclusion that employee have the right to design their workspace.

不错,最后一段可略微加些(用复杂句),万一考场上想不出也可以凑一下
