[讨论]Columbia Early Decision Application Ongoing Status

应朋友强烈要求，再看到大家这么关切地等待着。我就坦白一下，谢谢关心我申请的朋友们。

我8月25好左右就交了Essay（不是牛，只是想法和大家可能不一样）。9月23号左右面试的，是个校友。然后10月25号左右知道的结果。一个让我很开心的结果。不过让大家失望了，不是offer，不过也是拒绝，说是放到regular round和reassessment一把（就是换一个group把我丢进去的意思）。有点类似waitlist的性质，不过校友说比waitlist好点，我也不甚明白。晚上学校指定的一个officer给我打了电话，大概说了说希望我接下来两个月要和他常常联系，update我的工作情况，还可以提交新的推荐信（原来的一封是让一个同事写的，怕公司知道，所以可能不是很好）等。

1. Be yourself; allow your personality to shine.


2. Respond to questions honestly and candidly.


3. Understand what is asked of you. Feel free to ask for a repeat if you don't clearly understand a question.


4. Avoid the "smart-aleck" reply or the clever-flip demeanor (you know, the effort to be cute, snappy alert, falsely witty).


5. Do your homework on the school and program.


6. Be on time. Look nice.


7. Examine yourself. Know something about the MBA and how it can aid you.
