Pat: When my brother began that diet, his arthritis got worse. But he has been doing much better since he stopped eating vegetables in the nightshade family, such as tomatoes and peppers

答案选C，A和D选项都不太懂，A选项说的是改变diet可以缓解这个病，文中这两个人一个在改变diet之后轻松，另外一个在停止吃蔬菜之后轻松，应该都属于是diet的改变吧？还有D选项感觉也可以解释文中的差异啊，求解答。

简单来说，S说aunt用了一种食疗，她走的快了；P说弟弟吃了没用，但是弟弟吃了aunt的食疗没用，但是不吃veggie之后有用
那么第一反应就是：每个人对不同食疗的反应不同，因此这种病对不同的人来说其实跟吃什么东西关系不大。所以选c
A其实有一个很明显的问题我觉得是tempoary relief，因为argument中并没有提到到底是不是temp的relief。
d的话典型的扩大的argument的范围，因为argument当中只列举了一个男人及一个女人的例子，完全无法推出所有的男人和所有的女人都是这样。

我是这样想的：
看完材料，要求找出二人情况不同的原因。
A. 如果说diet只要change的话，就会有relief，那为什么Pat哥哥吃了大蒜之后没有relief呢？eliminate A。
B. 同样，Pat哥哥吃蒜无效的情形可以否决B。
C. 可以解释，因为病情是变化的，和食疗根本无关，所以S阿姨和P哥哥的不同都只是因为处于病情的不同阶段而已。可能S阿姨在病情转化的那段时间刚好吃了蒜，而P哥哥吃蒜的时候恰好是病情稳定的时候，不吃番茄恰好是病情转好的时候。
D. 男人比女人更容易受到不吃番茄的影响，这个可以解释P哥哥的症状好转，却不能解释他吃蒜无用的事实（P吃蒜无用，S吃蒜有用是二人的主要分歧）
E. 无关。

好的，想明白了，感觉新og里面好多题都有点奇怪，有点想打破往常套路的感觉

这道题目的重点是抓住题目问的是什么：“Sammy's aunt and Pats brother had contrasting experiences with the same diet?”，即：为什么两个人对同一个方子的反应不同？

要解决的只是“两个人对wheat germ and garlic“的反应不同，不用管另一个方子。

实质就是解释：为什么第一个人吃了wheat germ and garlic病情好转，第二个人吃了wheat germ and garlic病情加重。

要找的答案是能够同时解释两个人的疗效的。

A选项：第二个人用了这个方子并没有“relief from arthritis symptoms“。而是加重了，所以根本解释不了第二个人的不良反应。

D选项：根本没有对”wheat germ and garlic“这个方子做解释，而是解释的另一个方子。

只有C是解释了“两个人对wheat germ and garlic的反应为啥不一样”：不是因为方子，而是因为病的周期。
