Learn more about one of the first business analytics master’s degrees in the U.S.

The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MS-BA) from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University was launched in 2012, in response to the needs expressed by our corporate partners and hiring companies. The curriculum was created to deliver in-depth data science skills needed across industries. There are five academic tracks in the MS-BA, meaning you can find a career path that suits you best and still earn a highly respected analytics degree from one of America’s leading business schools.

Four tracks consist of 43 credit hours, include a summer internship opportunity, and require 16 months (three semesters) of coursework: Cloud computing and tech consulting, fintech, marketing analytics, and supply chain analytics. The 30-credit big data track is integrated into each other track but can be completed on its own to satisfy degree requirements in only nine months.

The MS-BA is a STEM-designated program, meaning eligible graduates on student visas may have access to an Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension in the U.S. for up to 36 months. The longer work authorization can help international students acquire valuable job skills and work experience in the U.S. that can be applied anywhere in the world.
