我的思路是这样的：

题干中：adoption of policy -->prosperity，而adoption of policy -->economic conditions improved，潜在的：economic conditions improved -->prosperity

而B中:bypass road -->the flow of local traffic，而bypass road -->cuts a city’s through traffic，潜在的：cuts a city’s through traffic-->the flow of local traffic

所以我选了B，但正确答案是D，我实在看不出来与题干哪点相似。请NN指点一下

题目的逻辑错误是因为因为一个事物（自由贸易）出现后另一个事物(经济繁荣）出现，就把二者归为因果关系。D类似于这种推理。故正确。选项B是真正得因果关系

还是不太明白。

hl2006同学提到的语气问题有点道理，由此排除B项我认为可以接受。

但是为什么选D？yangxiaogang同学的解释我觉得不够充分。

翻译题干：1840年以后英格兰的繁荣可以归功于自由贸易政策的实施，因为在政策实施之后，经济条件就有所改善。

这里有三个元素：繁荣、自由贸易政策和经济条件改善。前半句说结果：政策——>繁荣，后半句说原因：政策——>经济条件改善，潜在的：经济条件改善——>繁荣。

而D项翻译是：由于副总裁提高士气的措施实施后，公司盈利能力就开始提高，所以这些措施的实施应该被视作是盈利能力提高的原因。

这里只有两个元素：措施——>盈利能力提高

从这点看D项的推理过程与题干并不相同。难道仅仅是因为时间顺序的推导吗？

另外，这类题NN们应该有一个明确的解题思路吧？解题的关键究竟在哪里？请指点一下，否则碰上类似的题我可能还是会错的。

翻了以前的帖子，发现lawyer前辈是这么解释的：

“原文的结论是个因果关系结论（can be attributed to ）。四个选项中只有D的结论是个因果关系结论（ be credited with the improved result）”

以前有帖子讨论过这道题吗？麻烦juice_papa同学把链接贴出来，我就是没有搜到。

照此解释，ETS的出题思路是不是集中于句子的前后关系，解题关键在于弄清关系，窍门在于连接词的表述？

但是B项也是因果关系啊？越想越不明白了
