Introduction of Supervisor Sandro Lera is a tenure-trackAssistant Professor at Risks-X and Division of Information Systems &Management Engineering of SUSTech, and supervisor for postdoctoral students. Heis also a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), wherehe was previously a Postdoc at the Human Dynamics lab, which is led by Alex Pentland.His research directions are mainly in complex systems, network science andquantitative finance, etc. Prof. Lera also has an industry background inalgorithmic trading, developing quantitative trading strategies for severalcompanies and across different asset classes.

Job Description Position: Postdoctoral position in Quantitative finance/Complex systems/Network science
Department: Institute of Risk Analysis, Prediction and Management (Risks-X), SUSTech
Responsibility: The Postdoctoral Fellow will work in a highly ambitious and internationally oriented research environment committed to excellency in research. It is expected that the postdoctoral fellow will conduct research projects in Quantitative finance, Complex systems and Network science, actively participate in the activities of thegroup, and assist in the mentoring of postgraduate students and researchassistants.
Requirements : - A PhD degree and demonstrated research capabilities.
- Background in science and engineering fields such as statistics, physics, quantitative finance, mathematics, computer science are highly preferred.
- Strong resilience, desire and enthusiasm to work with a dynamic, growing and hard-working group. "Yes and" attitude and “doer” instead of a "no but” or “maybe” attitude.
- With articles published in professionally top journals as the first author.
- Under 35 years old with good profession, ambitions, sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
- Strong English communication skills.
- A PhD degree should be obtained within 3 years.
