I did take a short break after the quantitative part but before I click "Confirm". But I am not sure if that will affect the score. It does not sound reasonable though if it does affect.
You can send an email to ETS about it and they normally return email in a timely manner. If you get an answer, you can post it here as so many people are eager to know about it.
I think CAT is a fair game to everyone. That's why I think the time spent on each question should not matter. What I did was to take a short break, sit there and let my brain rest, before I confirm the last question in Quant. Then walk out to the bathroom to cool down my face with tap water. Relaxed a bit and I felt I came back after the break.
