Hello guys!
Chasedream Forum has served as a wonderful tool in the process of my graduate school application. It talks a lot about techniques to prepare for an interview, tips about writing application essays, and experiences shared by candidates who have already got in their dream school.
Personally, I got admission into JHU Finance, NYU MOT, Columbia ERM, USC Supply Chain Management, and UCI Finance. (Choose Columbia ERM in the end) In return, I would like to share my experience of graduate school application. And hopely that would help future students in their preparation process:
1. Apply Early. Some programs have very limited headcounts, so start your application as soon as possible and keep track of the submission process is essential since the whole application can take a significant amount of time.
2. Do your research. It’s worth spending some time thinking about exactly why you’re applying. Go on each school's website to search for their requirements, deadlines, career paths, and more importanly, why this program can help you achieve your goal.
3. Learn from any rejections. Finally, if you does not recieve your dream school's admission, take the opportunity to learn from this, especially if you intend to re-apply. Contacting the relevant department to request feedback is the simpliest way to get an idea of why this program is not a good fit or what other applicants are sucessful over you.
In the end, I attached my application essays and CV in this post as a reference.
