请教关于冒号后句意的理解问题，急急急

今天在做prep12模考的时候，阅读碰到了两句句子，我不太理解其中的意思，请各位NN多多指教哈。

1.However, anthropologist Shepard Krech points out that large animal species vanished even in areas where there is no evidence to demonstrate that Paleoindians hunted them. Nor were extinctions confined to large animals: small animals, plants, and insects disappeared, presumably not all through human consumption.
这是两句句子，我主要的问题在第二句，但因为是阅读，我怕各位理解意思的时候出现歧义，就把前一句一起贴了上来。
我的问题是：第二句结尾的presumably not all through human consumption是接着前面的large anmials: 吗？

2.Although both systems reduced reliance on skilled labor, Noble clearly prefers R/P, with its inherent acknowledgment of workers’ skills: unlike N/C, its programs were produced not by engineers at their computers, but by skilled machinists, who recorded their own movements to “teach" machines to duplicate those movements.
这句句子我想问的是：后的unlike N/C,its 这里的its是指N/C，还是R/P ？？？？？？

非牛。个人理解，仅供参考。

1. Nor 是个部分倒装结构，表完全否定
extinctions were nor confined to large animals: small animals, plants, and insects disappeared, presumably not all through human consumption.
其他动物的灭绝不会局限于大动物， presumably not all through human consumption 说 large animals的灭绝不是 human consumption.

2. 我觉得是P/R 和前面的its保持一致。

多谢！可为什么第二句its接的是R/P呢？而且its明显离N/C更近呀

unlike A， B...... 是一个句型，也可以说是逻辑意思决定句型。不像 N/C， R/P 的 program were 。。。。。
