请问post MBA目标香港IB，M7和S16差别大么

诚心想问问M7和S16回香港做IB的placement差别大么？比如Wharton/Columbia和NYU/Cornell之间的差别，请问是M7有很大优势呢，还是S16都算是有了入场券，在同一起跑线竞争？

我觉得主要是个人实力差距而不是学校差距。比如如果你能进沃顿但是去了NYU，那我估计就差别小很多。

我觉得差肯定是有差，但是最重要的还是年份。现在HK投行表现不好，连Wharton毕业估计都悬，如果是好的年份别说S16，就是再往下的学校都很可能拿到offer

Hey there,
Well there are plenty of schools in the Top 20 (even top 30) that will be good for IB. the main thing to look for in the non M7 schools is if IB recruits from there - so for example, offhand they do recruit at UNC, Darden, Tepper Johnson. But check the recruiting roster and the grads of each school you are interested in, to ensure that you can indeed get placed in your target firm from any particular school.

Thanks Joe. 我本来也是这样想，觉得只要是target school有入场券就行了；但如果是这样的话，M7的招生明显更selective，难度也更大，找工作的优势体现在哪里呢？

Thank you Jon. I think I'm looking at the IB jobs in those 8-9 BB firms and I just doubt that whether there are enough positions for them to even hire in top 30 program. Is it really the case?

Back to my question, I think Wharton/CBS and NYU/Johnson are generally schools with good placement in banking and I want to know how much advantage of the first two comparing to the latter. Especially a banking job in Asia/HK. Could you share your thoughts on it? Thanks.

感觉Booth很强... 其实完全取决于香港的alum network的强度，但入场券S16都是有的。

Finance方向现在差距更大的是buyside的就业机会。版面上有很多学校的就业报告，可以参考一下。

谢谢！我的target没有那么高。。。觉得能先进sell side从IB开始已经很好了，所以从这个角度来讲M7和S16差别并不大？

不太明白这个逻辑，举个可能不恰当的例子，很久以前国内top咨询只要清北复交的毕业生，后来对学校就没有那么硬性的标准，好点的学校都可以，所以大家都有入场券了，你会觉得这些学校都没差了吗？
