楼主千万不要有回国去券商工作的想法，那样非常得不偿失，生生的把自己的优势磨没了。
我本科也在国外念的，本来也想回国找券商的工作，但是发现一线的券商甚至基金公司基本都是师兄招师弟，师姐带师妹，别人读书的时候就在券商里实习，毕业就全职，我们国外回去的跟他们不是一个路子，除非你靠家里关系

Well you ask a hard question, because there are so many life and other personal considerations in your two choices besides just the MBA.

I think in general, it might be a bit easier for you to apply to an MBA from the US if you are there, but that you don’t necessarily HAVE to wait till you get your green card (you don’t want to be too old when you apply). But on the other hand, if you can get a great job offer, in which you will have a more interesting position in China, it can also be a good idea. I think that maybe this question will be easier to discuss once you have real concert offers from Chinese companies.

Other than that, you should for sure start studying for the GMAT and try and get that out of the way within the next 6 months or so.

又在美工作，已经搞定排名条件中最难搞的就业成功率，毕业后的美国工作起薪也高，这种个案今年就遇到两个，一个哈佛、MIT跟耶鲁奖学金，一个芝加哥跟MIT，都是MBA
时间很充裕，为何会来不及呢？很多人赶今年，两个考试都还没考呢～
算到明年入学前有四年半经验，已经超过斯坦福平均了
生涯不是只看背景的，因为可能会将错就错
根据十年来咨商过万人的生涯咨商经验
职涯最大单一影响元素是职业兴趣，第二是个性，第三才是能力与背景资历
没兴趣的工作，再怎么有能力有资历，做没多久就会退出的

第一选项与why now冲突，签证是可以换工作的
绿卡是线性假设，万一不成功怎么办？时间不回头的
另一方面，绿卡说办随时可以办，没人说要等签证到期
我有个学妹签证没抽到，当场办绿卡
只要你老板愿意，所以关键在你的价值，值不值得老板投资你

第二选项有隐藏假设：
a. 今年来不及（但明明就非常充裕）
b. 美国工作不能只待一两年->事实上可以
c. 除了回国没有其他选择->可以在美国创业啊
当然想家就另当别论了，毕竟亲情无价，子欲养亲不待

长期方向有个封闭谬误
变成只有朋友建议的一条路能走
就像预测台风动向，却用单一路径预报法一样
事实上台风爱走哪就走哪，没再管你家气象台怎么预测的

财会背景能走的路非常多的！
光我处理过的个案就包罗万象：企业投资人关系、分析师、咨询、MA储备干部、科技创业、PE、VC、事务所、政府、供应链、生产精实管理，甚至有人转往营销～也有人去了NGO
尤其财会背景出来，又能走咨询又能走投行，两种最高薪的工作，所以商学院才会有至少三分之一是财会背景的
也处理过语言背景，念了MBA名校后转咨询的，还进了顶尖品牌的美国总部

事实上财会背景并不一定适合投行的，一样要看兴趣、个性，跟能力
lz的问题在why MBA还不明确，原因是因为自我了解不清，还无法投射出有很具体的目标，其实这是几个小时就能推出来的东西
不需要搞那么多年，人都老了

Hey there,
I don’t think your career will be a “Red flag”. Sure, maybe it is less impressive than IB, but still, as long as you do well, anything can work. One thought about IB. If you REALLY want to get into banking, you might also want to consider doing a Masters in Finance. It’s only one year, it can help you switch industries to finance, and then you can always do an MBA later.
