求各位大佬们看看小弟这个背景申请LBS finance master有希望吗

大家好，因为LBS finance master也是post-experience项目，所以MBA项目和MiFin都在考虑范围中，并且LBS的finance master更青睐一些。

本人背景如下：
(1). 本科top 4中的一所（其实就是后两所之一）
(2). 学的专业非经管非理工科，绩点也一般（3.4+，这点可能是英国学校硬伤。。。。。。），辅修了会计
(3). 工作背景倒是跟金融相关：国内某比较国际化的CVC，名气还比较响，海外投资也比较多。现工作第二年，一年从analyst升asso
(4). 雅思7.5，gmat正在备考中

算是有优势也有劣势吧，诚心求问大佬们这样的背景申请英国比较好的mba or LBS finance master有希望吗？因为听说英国对绩点卡的比较严格，不知道能不能通过其他方面通融一下

Many thanks for your prompt and detailed reply. Yeah I guess I was fortunate to get a promotion in a year since it was kinda a MT program and I happened to be part of the team engaging in severval outbound buyout deals in the first year.

Regarding the MBA/MS choice, for me it is actually a question about future career path. IB/PE would be my priority after finishing the program, which both MiF & some MBAs could fit, but just as you mentioned MS are less costly. However quant would hardly be in my consideration since I don't have any background in maths or programming, personally and practically I would prefer a banking/PE carerr path.

As for other entry requirements, I am not sure whether a not-so-good GPA (about 3.45/4.00) in a top-ranking (not top top) mainland university would be a major drawback for British graduate programs. Currently I am preparing for GMAT tests and ideally I will spend efforts to reach around 730-750.

Again, lots of thanks for your reply. I've been wandering this forum for some time and always see your kind replies. It's good to know some insights from experts.

就别听二楼那位忽悠说那些空话了，那位自己又没读过MBA，也不理解MiF是针对怎么样的申请人，更不理解欧洲的教育了，纯粹搞笑的.....

建议你去翻翻LBS官网，网上会写现在在读学生的profile，其实很多四大背景+本科也弱一些也有被录取，没必要把申请想的那么恐怖。或者找LBS在这里的账号问问。

你应该考虑的是，现在才工作了1-3年，如果打算马上读书，是不是应该考虑申请MBA美国的M7，他们喜欢年轻人。如果打算申请欧洲的，3-5年才居多。其实，有的时候，好的工作难得

谢谢建议哈，好工作肯定是难得毕竟是最终目的。但毕竟也是遇到了瓶颈和问题所以想借着读书switch一下，如果一直有好的case做我肯定也没必要急着去了。。。

曾经海外投的很猛。。。。现在开始收敛了的某集团公司之一，所以已经不是很typical CVC了

If your interests are pure-play quant finance, then you may very well be suited for a masters in finance program versus an MBA.

我指的是CVC Capital Partners...

CVC Capital Partners的应该不用再读书了吧

不过这年头corporate VC也很难入，特别国内的BAT级别的
