数学部分关于利息的题目

数学部分利息的题目看不懂题目意思，请教两道题的题意
1.If money is invested at r percent interest, compounded annually, the amount of the investment will double in approximately years. If Pat's parents invested $5,000 in a long-term bond that pays 8 percent interest, compounded annually, what will be the approximate total amount of the investment 18 years later, when Pat is ready for college?这个是讲复利吗？

2. Last year the price per share of Stock X increased by k percent and the earnings per share of Stock X increased by m percent, where k is greater than m. By what percent did the ratio of price per share to earnings per share increase, in terms of k and m?最后的问题“By what percent did the ratio of price per share to earnings per share increase, in terms of k and m”是什么意思啊？

1. 是讲复利的。 compounded interest 就是复利。 simply interest 就是单利。复利的计算= 本金*（1+周期利息）^周期次方。根据题里给的周期改变利息和周期次方就行，此题里是按1年来的。所以周期利息就是年利息8%，周期次方也就是18.

2. 就是问的用M,和K 表达，今年的P/EPS比去年的P/EPS增加了多少。链接楼里有解答。
