The Metroville Transit Authority’s bus from downtown Metroville to neighboring Crowestown is currently a nonstop service. Because of planned road repairs, the bus is going to be rerouted along Metroville’s Main Street, where several stops will be added. Since the bus will pick up passengers making local trips on Main in addition to its Crowestown passengers, its ridership will increase; but the rerouting will probably not increase the transit authority’s overall revenue, because __________.

GMAT惯用把戏之一

C的意思是transit authority有N路公车，在Metroville’s Main Street上车坐改变路线这路车的乘客都是本来坐transit authority其他路公车的乘客。不管这些猴怎么跳，始终没逃出transit authority的五指山-坐的都是transit authority的公车，不同线路而已。所以，自然transit authority没有因为改变线路而增加乘客，自然不会多赚钱。

A即使成立transit authority依然可能多赚钱：即使本地短程车票便宜，但从其他公交公司抢来了100000000000个乘客，transit authority一定因为改变线路而赚钱了。
