1，括号2边是2个句子，应该根据意思找合适连词！

A，but (when............)+句子，所以when多余

B，意思说不通。

C，介词短语，不可以

D，引导让步状从。

2，onto 是个动作，前边至少应该有个表示动作的动词。-》of

3,upward........adj    这里需要一个介词，-》up/from

9题为什么介词短语不可以啊?

21题我觉得western wilderness并没有特指为什么要在前面加the呢?后面的in the late nineteenth century并不是修饰wilderness的吧?

9，介词只能加名词，不能跟句子，连词连接句子

21， western wilderness 没说要加the 呀，已经有western 限制了

in the late nineteenth century是整个句子的时间状语
