以上两题黑体部分都是不对的. 第一个改为cells.  第二个改为去掉Of.

我的疑问不在题目本身. 我也知道each 和each Of 区别. 我的问题是:

each of As 这种形式, 是否只能出现在上文有明示或者暗示的As的内容的前提下面.  比如题目一中提到reproduce 因此, each of cells 顺理成章.   但是感觉这里each cell 也是可以的.  对不对?

但是题目二中,each of As 就来得太突兀.  所以不对.

糊涂了, 请求确认.

我觉得each of 无非确定一个范围，此时的each 是代词，其必须有明确的指代对象，这一对象和前面是否提到过，并无必然关系，如下面这个单独的句子：

I'm going to ask each of you to speak for three minutes.

而each function中的是个形容词。从意义上讲，我不觉得二者有大的区别，如下例中

Each member of the team is given a particular job to do.

Each of the team is given a particular job to do.

这两个句子我认为是同效的。

怎么会, 看到你写的句子, 我忽然意识到问题的关键在于:

each of functions of the body 错在;  each of the functions of the body

each of 后是应有明确的对象。

有感于胸，也许和楼主的问题有异曲同工之处，再抄一个句子：

此题除从“独一无二的事物前应加定冠词”这一说法外， 我想，能不能这样认为：如果of后的事物数目大于seven的话，就意味着前小后大，这时必须限定范围。否则如下题：

5. ---- angles of any triangle always add up to 180 degrees.

(A) If three

(B) The three

(C) Three of

(D) Three are

           因为不存在前小后大的关系，所以只能选B，个人认为即使C改为：three of the 也是从逻辑上讲不通的。
