kaplan里的一道DS中的话

(2) if point A(-3,4) were twice as far from point E, it would be the same distance from point E as point C is at coordinates (0,-2)

kaplan的解释：statement (2) narrows the location of E down to an equation,...

哪位高手帮忙解释一下好么？

意思是说如果A(-3,4)到E的距离乘以二的话,这个距离等于E到C(0,-2)的距离.假设E(X,Y),那么这个等式就可以形成一个关于X,Y的方程.我不知道原题是怎么样的.大概意思就是这样了.
