97. Delta Products Inc. has recently switched at least partly from older technologies using fossil fuels to
new technologies powered by electricity. The question has been raised whether it can be concluded that
for a given level of output Delta’s operation now causes less fossil fuel to be consumed than it did
formerly. The answer, clearly, is yes, since the amount of fossil fuel used to generate the electricity needed to
power the new technologies is less than the amount needed to power the older technologies, provided level of
output is held constant.
In the argument given, the two boldfaced portions play which of the following roles?

答案选B 请问D为什么错，其实就是对BD2的理解，D说把结论变成了问题不是也承认了BD2是结论了吗？

楼主你好，选项D the second calls that conclusion into question的意思是说，第二部分是对之前得出的结论进行质疑。

call sth. into question: challenge the accuracy, probity, or propriety of;
"We must question your judgment in this matter"

楼主你好，选项D the second calls that conclusion into question的意思是说，第二部分是对之前得出的结论进行质疑。

call sth. into question: challenge the accuracy, probity, or propriety of;
"We must question your judgment in this matter"

另外我感觉这个第二个boldface 就是结论~那这个B里面 identify the content of that conclusion 是不是就是指第二个boldface是结论。。。只不过迷惑我们。。求NN解答。。
