没必要分析各个句子的作用，看懂整句意思即可。

其实我的问题就是答案中 that are absent from other types of societies. weaken 了原文的哪句话！
是怎样weaken的。

这里要区别的是“forager societies ”与“other types of societies”，
也就是说一些“forager societies “特有的特点（不与“other types of societies共享）存在于“forager societies 整个阶段（无论是ancient还是 modern），换句话话说，研究现在是可以了解过去的。

最后一句为了说明:现在的FORAGERS已经受到了现在其它SOCIETIES的影响,已经不具有FORAGERS的特性了,因此现在的研究也就找不到古代FORAGERS的特性了
