1) no. If your application is strong and you provide a good reason, then they will not reject you.
...
Well, thanks for your reply and I hope your answers will be helpful, even if some of them may turn me down. Appreciate for your straightforward.
1. To be frank, I know the reason why I desire to apply for the top tier MBA program in the world. But I just cannot find a reason to convince even myself why take 2 MBA programs in my life.
Technically, I need the GPA refreshed, and everyone knows that the domestic part-time MBA means nothing but a piece of paper. But If it were you who have reimbursement for your part-time study and also have free time, do you want to have a try? Especially when you are only 25 and just began your career?
2. I mean there might be some other majors other than MBA in the graduate school of business that I can take into account. Well, yeap, I'm not quite interested in finance or consulting as a career. More concentrated on manufacturing and supply chain. I've learned these lessons during my part-time MBA. So just forget the question.
3&4. By mentioning the very strong work experience, to what degree do you mean "very strong work experience"? I've tried my best to be the best compared to my peers. No offence but it's true that the only way to surpass my achievement is to start your own business just right after you graduated from college, and I hopefully wish it still survives after 6 years. I was born and lived in China, not in the land of dream.
What a shame, my GPA is bad for all four years. The first year's is the best, and declines year by year. Major in chemical-related material engineering. Coz I'm still quite good at advanced math, better at other sociology courses, very nice performance in economic-related optional curriculum if you see my academic report. But compulsory ones, such as physics and chemistry, too bad. Never figure out what they want to say. The only explanation for bad GPA is that I cannot change my major once I entered the college. Again, I was born and lived in China.
And it's true that I am aiming at HBS, Stanford, Wharton and MIT, owing to my selfish arrogance. I think you are right and thanks again for your sincerity. But does it sound a little ridiculous? The business school reject me only because I don't know the f**kin structure of Polytetrafluoroethylene?
Remind myself of some unhappy time during college study, excuse me and I never meant to offend.
Well, through this conversation, I gradually find the dream vague. Might not be so bad cos giving up the unpractical fantasy can pave a new way. Just as my signature says.
Wish all the best for your life in MIT. |
