All of those programs are regional, which means that you may need to pick based on where you want to do your internships and try to get a job afterwards. Since the center of US finances is in NYC, I'd suggest Fordham. It's also got a good local reputation for grad level business.
There is no guarantee at all that you will be able to stay and work in the US once you finish the program, so another consideration must be what the reputation of the uni is in the countries in which you are legal to work, including your home country. I know you said that none of these have a big name in your home country, but do any of them have any reputation at all? Which one is known in your country? Which one, if on your resume, would have the biggest name? Or if none of them are heard of in your country, then which location would have the biggest impact - I suspect that would be NYC, which means Fordham.
That may need to be a consideration. It is very unlikely you'll be able to stay and work in the US once you finish your program. Be aware of that.
What program is going to depend on what career goals you have and where you want to work. Fordham and Rutgers would be my pick for proximity to NYC/Philly. Case and Syracuse are in small cities and I just don't think you'd have the same opportunities.
Make sure you get really involved at whatever school you go to and try networking with alumni. Also, cast a wide net when it comes to applying for jobs. Regretfully the US likes to make it hard for the internationals that it educates. I don't know why, but it doesn't matter. Focus on getting sponsorship first and foremost and work on that dream job later. |
