 Q: Do you agree or disagree:It is more important to choose to study subjects you are interested in than to choose to study subject to prepare for a job or career?
A:
In this topic, I partially agree that it's more important to choose to study subjects you are interested in than to choose to study subject to prepare for a job or career. While many people often think that we should cultivate our skills for a job in student hood. But in my view, school is not a place where lets students learn how to work, in contrast, I believe school teaches us how to learn.
First of all, students should have chance and right to determine their work, but they are so young that they can't make decision. The only thing we can do is striving to try any possible result. So it is important to learn subjects you are interested in, it may help us to find out the answer. Wonderful as the advantages that study subjects you are interested in are we may be more enthusiastic to study. In my opinion, every job involve in passion, which comes from interest. For passion, we would do our best to complete every difficult task, even though it is almost impossible to finish. Without passion, maybe we will be soon to lost interest on learning. If people don't choose what they love to do, it probably causes them to fail.
Secondly, it's take long time to become elite. All individual has some talent of different aspects, and that may be math, memory, or music...etc. Although we may have some talent, we should spend a lot of time to cultivate. And talent is often relating with interest. For instance, when I was a child, my parents found that I revealed my interest in music, and it seemed that I have some talent about it. My parents decide let me to learn violin and piano, and in my learning progression, I encountered some bottleneck which let me want to give up. But once I have this thought, I would stop thinking that because I know how much I love it. By spending a lot of time and effort, I finally have some achievements that I won a violin contest and applied school successfully. At that moment, I do realize how important to choose what you love!
According aboving reasons, studying interested subjects is very important for students. Students can find a fitted job through what they learned. If they paid many efforts and time to learn what they learned, they will find a suitable job. All in all, I believe that it's very important to study subjects you are interested. |
