1.      A series of questions were asked by putting me in a group with a non-performing member.
The most difficult: - How will you (or not) report on a non-performing member after the completion of the project

2.      Same situation as above:- You have discovered that you missed a significant detail 6 hours before the project deadline. What do you do? (Completely open-ended response required)

3.      What are the differences between leadership and management?

unless I can not find someone else, I would kick out that guy before the completion, of course he would get several chances before that..anyway it's case by case to deal with such kind of person.

prepare for the worst firstly, then try to improve it as much as I can

to be a leader in a project, first you must be one of the team, then you are the person responsible for the project management.

有道理啊, 不过第一个是不是可以说, 我会事先fully communicate with the group members. If there was some people who do not perform, I will try to motivate him/her?

for the first one, if the project is successful, i will not report his/her bad performance to my boss but I will communicate with this member privately about this matter to make sure he/she will improve/participate next time. if the project is doomed, I will talk with this member first to point out his/her non performing and state my points as well as take down his/her points. Then, i will reorganize my thoughts and report to my boss about it. And I will expect confrontation.

just my 0.02.

i think leadship requires you always take initiative, stick to your plan and have your own vision. However, for a good manager, it is more important to motivate members, bond the team together and time/resource management. They are also more into details.

hehe, just my nonsense talking.

Personally, I don't think it's a positive way to deal in that way. anyuway, it's case by case.

leadship and management have some overlapped areas. My understanding is that leadship needs you pay more specific attention to the things in your hand.
