Topic:HumanTrafficking With thedevelopment of global economy, the updated statistics of human trafficking casesare increasing. Many European Countries, especially some developed countries ofwhich France is among them, are the alternative destination of humantrafficking.According to the report given by the Administration ofanti-trafficking, human trafficking in our country has become increasinglyserious in recent years. Women and children, many from Africa, continued to besubjected to forced domestic servitude. The female victims make up the most partof those who were abused.Government of France are now facing a greatchallenge, for the trafficking of women and African prostitution networks havebecome complex in recent years . “The roles are superimposed and some prostitutesare also pimps”,according to a French police expert. We fully complywith the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking. To restrict thetendency of human trafficking, the government continued to train prosecutors andjudges to make better use of France’s anti-trafficking law, continued toprosecute forced prostitution and forced labor offenders, and increased public-privatepartnerships to prevent trafficking. France has steppedup many efforts to bring an end to human trafficking, nonetheless, the result isnot good enough. As we mentioned before, the criminal gang is complicated andopaque. It means that very few criminals are convicted and most victims areprobably never identified or assisted. In order to make it more efficient tofight against human trafficking,we have following solutions: 1.Long term a.Call for cross-border cooperations. i.Cross-border cooperation in investigationand prosecutions is necessary. We are looking forward to forming alliances withcountries that are also in the same situation. It will be more facility for usto trail and extradite crime. We can make a concerted effort on this issue toend the human trafficking. ii.Economy level of social civilization is theroot of this issue. We can work together to boost theeconomic development. As a developed country,we’ll offer financial or technologicalhelp with our best effort. b.Appeal more countries to comply with the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking. c.Appeal more countries to partner with NGOs in order to provide trafficking victims with anetwork of services and shelters during the reporting period. 2.Short term a.Provide casual visa for immigrant in France, whichcan availably decrease the opportunity for illegal practice. b.Strengthen bordercontrol. c.Set up specialized agencies in Paris and other major cities tocombat trafficking. |
