Topic: 44.Claim: It is no longer possible for asociety to regard any living man or woman as a hero. Reason: The reputation of anyone who issubjected to media scrutiny will eventually be diminished. Writea response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree withthe claim and the reason on which that claim is based. 比如Nixon 的Water Gate Scandal 和Bill Clinton的sex scandal, each of which become the hottest topic being reported on the mediacoverage. If it were not for the mass media scrutiny, we would expect thatpeople still regard them as the national hero. Admittedly, it is human natureto pry into the privacy of public figures, deriving from envy or jealousness. (Turningback to the real hero),不管媒体怎样窥视他们私人生活pry about ,他们还是一样受人们尊重。 To err is human, nobody couldlive flawlessly. Text: The author`s viewis plausible. The statement is too absolute. It is true that media scrutiny hasincreased the possibility of a public character`s scandal.be exposured. That isnot in the name of it is no longer possible for a society to regard any livingman or woman as a hero. The true hero can be framed for any media scrutiny. Themodern media scrutiny is powerful. Sometimes they can create a hero, sometimesthey can destroy a hero. Media broke a hero may result from seeking for theirprofit. They cater to public for obtaining concentration to maximize their benefit. For example, Nixon`s Water Gate Scandal and Bill Clinton`s Sex Scandal. Each ofwhich become the hottest topic reported on media coverage. If it were not forthe mass media scrutiny, we would expect that people still regard them asnational hero. Admittedly, it ishuman nature to pry into the privacy of public figures, deriving from envy orjealousness. Actually, some media transform some irresponsible scandals for attainingmore profitable and more as possible. But,it is not sure that media scrutiny would lead to the reputation of anyonediminished definitely. On one hand, the true reputation is not fear with themedia scrutiny. Turning back to the real hero, in spite of how the mediascrutiny, they will behave as normal-reading, relaxed, so some sports-make mediano chance to defame them, do everything with high ethical standard. On theother hand, a hero`s excellent achievement make their flaws so insignificant. Suchas Roosevelt, also with Ex-marital Scandal, but compare these behaviors withhis achievement-leading American out of the Great Depression and win the War II.He is the greatest president acknowledged in the world in 20 th century. Peoplerespect him just like before even though people has be aware of his scandal. Sothe true hero would keep up the high reputation regardless of media scrutiny. Itis impossible to deduce the title`s conclusion even these reasons established. Toerr is human, nobody could live flawless. Maybe people would excuse a greathero`s mistake because of their accomplishment once. Nevertheless, a hero maybe a common person-a clement and dedicated mother, a police who is devoted tohis duty and a judge who uphold justice. They are ordinary and real, they canwithstand media scrutiny. |
