Considering the events of the last five years, select an issue or problem on which your national government has taken a major policy position or initiated major action. Propose an alternative position or solution to the issue or problem and support your viewpoint with specific information.
This is your opportunity to show that you understand current events and how they impact your life.
For example, the Kyoto Protocol toward lowering emissions, is a major global development that China has been supportive of. But instead of just mentioning this and describing the relationship, you need to incorporate it into how your life, education, career will be affected. Possibilities could be the emergence of "green" companies, impacts of environmental awareness of current companies and markets, etc. Just talking about the policies and interventions...is useless.
