In the figure, points A, B, C, D lies on a line. A is on both circles, B is the center of the smaller circle, C is the center of the larger of the larger circle, D is on the smaller circle, and E is on the larger circle. What is the area of the region inside the larger circle and outside the smaller circle?
(1)AB=3 and BC=2
(2)CD=1 and DE=4
我认为each statement alone is sufficient，但是答案给的是statement (1) alone is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient, 我朋友给的解释是，题里给的图只是一个示意图，statement (2)存在两种情况——C在小圆外和C在小圆内。但我认为这个解释有些牵强，难道给的图不可以直接用吗，它真的只是一个示意图，具体情况还要通过条件分析吗？
题里的图我弄不上来但是题里给的就是一个图也就是按题里画的图就只有一种情况啊
