【求教】半道逻辑题

小女近两日初学逻辑，遇到一题不太明白，特此请教，先谢过解答的各位了：）
Although the earliest surviving Greek inscriptions written in an alphabet date from the eighth century,a strong case can be made that the Greek actually adopted alphabetic writing at least two centuries earlier.
句中的the Greek actually adopted alphabetic writing at least two centuries earlier.是论据还是结论呢~？因为前面说的是a strong case can be made that，所以当时就自然的觉得是论据了，结果答案说是“is the position that the argument seeks to establish".所以如果没理解错应该是说的结论。那为什么是结论咧?

但是如果其他问题中出现了a strong case can be made that XXX,那后面的东西是指结论还是论据呢?
