I know some ppl doing marketing PHD in US and I think they all have working experience to demonstrate their interest in research. The girl who has no working experience graduated with honor from Yale, and did a lot research when she was undergraduate. So I think the most important thing for you to do is to figure out which program you really wanna apply to and then determine which schools. As for research in marketing, yes things you mentioned is useful and most common tool in research but research is much more than that, it could be interesting if you are really into the program. A lady, who is the director of a business school, told me that her passion in marketing research is always there. |
