第二段最后一句说The higher the ratio of oxgen 18 to oxgen 16 in a sedimentary specimen, the more land ice there was when the sediment was laid down 怎么理解？
前面不是说蒸发的水return到了continental ice sheets 里面嘛，那不是应该是陆地里的oxgen 18比较少吗？纠结~~

不是这个意思这里是说当氧18分子比较重，所以当冰地形成时候，海底床里的氧18就会密度增加，因为氧16都成了冰地了

神人啊，我还觉得是文章错了，应该是the less land ice there was…………，因为水蒸发，18/16 ratio高，说明不是Ice age！看来概念混了,continental ice sheets grow和land ice
