Re-application 的essay问题，求救！！！！！

本人去年申请了几家北美的topMBA，很可惜被顶了。今年卷土重来，部分学校准备re-apply。但有个问题是，去年申请时写的essay，特别是career goal的essay是有问题的，跟目前工作的gap较大。（有个学校的feedback中提到了这个原因）所以这应该是被顶的重要原因之一了。因此re-apply想改写career goal的essay，改成一个跟现在工作gap不大的goal。但这样的话会不会让adcom觉得我的目标不清晰呢，去年写的goal和今年的goal写的完全不一样？但如果不改就写去年的goal的话，人家都说了跟我现在的工作有gap，这个问题我彷徨，犹豫了好久，现在写出来真诚的求助，请了解清况的兄弟姐妹不吝赐教，本人先谢过。

都知道去年的有问题，当然要改了。我觉得今年直接focus在你新的goals就好，让他们看到这个goal是合理，有可能实现的即可。也没必要去解释为什么去年的不好。

Okay good news for you buddy: you totally CAN change your goals this year (and if the feedback is right it seems like a good idea). I think the best way to go about it is to tell them explicitly that “I am reconsidering my goals, because after my last year’s application, I realized they didn’t make that much sense” That will show that you are a thinking person, who learned from their failures, and works hard to come up with an alternative solution. You will also need so explicitly show why your new goals are sooo much better. hope this helps man.
