each of the company A and company B，一坨修饰，谓语划线，考each的主谓一致

有狗主说is
有狗主说are

到底是啥？

each of 应该不是看谓语后面的单复数吧

我觉得是is呢

求证！

New items developed for automobiles in the 1997model year included a safer air bag , which, unlike previous air bags,eliminated the possibility that a burst of smoke would appear when the bag inflated, and making an already terrified passenger think thecar was on fire.
A. inflated, and making[CH1][CH1].
B. Inflated, so that it [CH2][CH2]couldmake.
C. Inflated and made[CH3][CH3].
D. .Inflated and make[CH4][CH4].
E. Inflated to make.
解释：
[CH1]and前面有”，”表示make与included并列，ing错
[CH2]it指代不清
[CH3]与inflated并列，bag不是make的主语
[CH4]与appera并列，smoke不能作make的主语

这道题选E?
E不会理解成 the bag inflated to make fear 么？
应该还是smoke使人以为是着火了所以害怕啊
我觉得D对呢！

我的一些拙见：
第一题each单复数还要看具体情况，如果是介词倒装，主语在后面，谓语动词和后面主语一致；如果不是倒装，谓语动词用单数；如果each是独立主格修饰，可能没有谓语动词

2nd problem is E. I remember doing this problem and almost picked D because I thought it was testing parallelism with "would appear".. If you read the part "eliminated the possibility" then you will see the "that-clause" modifier immediately after possibility only modifies ONE possibility, which is a burst of smoke would appear when the bag inflated TO MAKE an already terrified passenger think the car was on fire.

You do know that Americans are terrible at grammar right? That is why GMAC put the grammar section in the test haha..
