you are welcome. the 2 opportunities you mentioned are totally different. SC is one of the many modules SAP has. SAP is one of the many IT systems used by SC. SAP consulting is part of IT consulting, while Supply Chain is part of operation. While both have good career path, the gap between these 2 is as wide as any other 2 industries.
In SAP line, you can become expert in SC but you are still a SAP consultant who specialize in one area. Or you can become a project manager or sales of SAP solution in IBM, Accenture. Or, you can join a big end user and manage the SAP system.
SC itself is very broad. SAP knowledge is helpful but not essential. You can specialize in Demand planing, logistics, procurement, warehousing, freight forwarder, custom brokerage, etc.
You have to make the decision based on your personal interest and strength. |
