题目是这样的：
When a polygraph test is judged inconclusive, this is no reflection on the examinee. Rather, such a judgement means that the test has failed to show whether the examinee was truthful or untruthful. Nevertheless, employers will sometimes refuse to hire a job applicant because of an inconclusive polygraph test result.
which of the following conclusions can most properly be drawn from the information above?
A. Most examinees with inconclusive polygraph test results are in fact untruthful
B. Polygraph tests should not be used by employers in the consideration of a job applicant
C. An inconclusive polygraph test result is sometimes unfairly held against the examinee
D. A polygraph test indicating that an examinee is untruthful can sometimes be mistaken
E. Some employers have refused to consider the results of polygraph tests when evaluating job applicants
The correct answer is C. 但是，既然C 是对的， B 也应该是对的，为嘛只选C 呢？（解释我也有点confused）

题目主要是说 test的结果（因为test的结果从而不收某些人），并没有说也不应该用这个 test。

LZ，我是觉得GMAT的答案要选就要选最好的，其实没有什么最正确的，你看B中有一个should not ，这个就犯了一个忌讳：绝对化了。文章只是想说明这个测谎技术一定程度上影响了申请者申请工作，但是并没有全面否定测谎技术，所以就是C了~~

先看翻译：
26、背景：当测谎器检测的结果是不确定时，无法反应被测者的信息。反而，这种结论表示测谎器无法判断被测者诚信与否。然而，有时雇主拒绝申请者，仅仅因为得到了测谎器的不确定的结果。

问题：归纳。

选项：A：得到不确定结果的大多数被测者都不诚实

B：在考虑是否接受申请者时，雇主不该利用测谎器的测试结果

C：不确定的结果有时对被测者不公平

D：测谎器说被测者不诚实，有时候可能是误导

E：当评价申请者时，有些雇主拒绝考虑测谎器的结果
B不对。
因为不确定的结果而拒绝申请者，这会导致雇主对申请者判断不准确。但这就能说明雇主不该用测谎器的结果来挑选人吗？题目又没说非得让雇主准确判断申请者。B的错误在于，它要基于一个假设才能得到，这个假设就是：雇主准确判断申请者。

尽管有些employer因为inclusive的结果而refuse examinee, 但这只是在inclusive的情况下。

这里并没有说如果结果不是inclusive的情况下会怎样。假设在那样的情况下test result是可以信赖的，那polygraph test还是有价值的。

所以，我们没有充分的理由refuse polygraph test。

当然，这个技术可能会有问题。所以OG中解释说，not as well supported by as C。

(C) is the correct. If a company uses inconclusive polygraph result to reject an applicant, it is unfair. This statement (C) properly identifies a conclusion that can reasonably be drawn from the stimulus.

As to choice (D), the whole argument is concerned only with inconclusive tests, not mistaken or false polygraph test result. There is no mentioning of a mistaken polygraphy test in the stimulus.

Answer to a inference question has to be 100% true based on the stimulus.

B has should not. Too restrictive to be a correct answer.

inconclusive polygraph无法证明examinee诚实与否，但employer通常拒绝所有这类人。则可能拒绝这些人中实际诚实的那部分，这对他们是unfair的。
至于B选项中涉及到该不该使用polygraph，如果题目中给出譬如inconclusive polygraph中实际诚实的人占90%这种情况，那我们可以说不该用inconclusive polygraph。balabala~~~

我觉得此题一切都是建立在"不确定"的谎言测试结果的条件上，所以只要只说谎言测试结果就是脱离题的基本条件

我有个问题，可能比较stupid，就是为什么A 就直接排除呢，题目只是说测谎仪不能决定被测试者是否诚实，但是既然employer 总是不雇佣这些有inconclusive 结果的人，问什么不能说明事实上有这样结果的人是不诚实的呢？ THX！
