答案选b，我总会觉得d更好，首先这里放句尾的动名词作定语修饰前面的名词是可以，并且不存在它做伴随状语，因为逻辑不符。其次，移动树木，燃烧树木都是经常地事情，不是只干一次不做啦，所以doing比定语从句更好，再加上doing是分词短语，定语从句是从句，所以doing也更好哦~
求高人解答，为什么选b不是d啊！！！

把D回到原文，最后变成：
burning down individual trees but do not denude the forest.

burning and "but",严重不平行。

这种题目其实也可以秒杀的，特别注意划线部分前三词和后三次可立马排除1,4（注意后面的but。）
根据品行，排除1,3,5

其实对于B，我跟倾向于用非限定定语从句。logging有不适非要burn那个东东的。。。。

这道题的亮点在最后的： but do not denude。如果选d, denude 就没有主语，but 前后也不平行。

即使平行也不该云ing的modifier, ing modifier usually modifies the the subject and the verb of the previous clause (修是前面整句，包扩主词跟动词），但是这里的modifiers 明显是要修是logging 跟 forest burning, 所以 that or which (云来修是the previous noun, logging and burning here are gerunds (ing words) that function as nouns) is more appropriate. So try to let the meaning decide!

亮点是后面的but，导致前面不能用doing
