急！！选校求助，PURDUE VS UC Davis

如题，拿到这两个offer，本人法律背景，商业银行3年工作经验，将来想留在美国，最好还是做金融，不知道哪个更合适？跪求建议！

If you want to work in New York, go to Purdue. If you want to work on the West Coast, go to UC Davis (no one outside of California even knows where UC Davis is).

Let me be frank though, neither of these is a target school for finance recruiting. Investment banks and investment management firms don't really recruit at either. So you would probably find it difficult to get a finance job in the U.S. after graduation. Your best bet might be a corporate finance type of position with a corporation. They are close but my guess is that Purdue will give you a slight advantage.

So is UC Davis...also in the middle of no-where. Not much to do unless you like cow tipping.

California sounds better than Indy ........ Plus check out the notorious Chinese students history at Purdue, it won't be a hard decision unless you are an engineer.

California is better than Indy - I know, I grew up in Cali. However, there are many different parts of CA and they are all very different. Davis is not one of the more attractive parts. You drive down the freeway for miles with nothing but farms on both sides, and then you get to Davis.

Regardless, having worked in both NY and San Francisco, just my two cents on how these two schools are perceived relatively in the U.S.

eople on the East Coast really don't know much about CA schools at all, especially the public ones. Their level of understandings pretty much stops at Berkeley and UCLA. We can agree to disagree.
