67 There is little justification for society to make extraordinary efforts—especially at a great cost in money and jobs—to save endangered animal or plant species.
Write a response in which you discuss which view more closely aligns with your own position and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should address both of the views presented.
1 cost in money and jobs huge many species die every year 2but every specie has its existing meaning
3ecological benefit for future 474
Should we put a blind eye to the serious situation of endangered species? Absolutely not. From my point of view ,I strongly couldn’t stand for this imperious claims. Although expense on persevering the extinct species are far beyond our expectation , we shouldn’t do nothing to preserve them ,which has increasingly suffered from human interruption.
Admittedly, cost on such preservation project is so huge that sometimes it sacrifices lots of money and personal interest. For example, every year thousands of people are employed to regulate the preservation area to prevent rare species from hunting by malevolent hunters ,and some people even take their lives to fight with them. Besides, funding on the technology to preserve the extinct animals’ gen is increasing but gets just a little reward. Many experiments fail in the end and waste unmeasured resources . And some people claims that every years species in large number die due to natural law, thus we don’t need to waste our money on them.
However, do all these drawbacks support our ignorance of the endangered species? As a matter of factors, species in growing number are suffering from human’s disturbance as we human being move faster to satisfy our own interest. Every year plenty of trees are cut down ,leaving birds no home to nest. Rivers are serious polluted ,turning water poison to fishes and water-plant. Lots of areas are reclaimed , obstructing the migration of animals . In light of the human destruction, we human being must take the responsibility for our wrong doings. Otherwise , people wouldn’t realize the importance of preservation and deteriorate habitat without guilty . How could you imagine that people commit criminal and take it for granted ?Therefore , every endeavor should be make to appeal people into preservation of rare species .
Indeed, when it comes to the expense of such project, it’s well known that every specie has its invaluable ecological benefit for the environment . For example, Red Tree does conduce to humid areas and prevent flood from destroying our bands and wild environment of the islands. Plus Red Tree does play a great function to regulate the climate in the local area. Without all of these powerful functions , we will cost even more money to achieve these effects. Consequently, the benefit that species brings to us outweighs our modest cost for preserving them. If we can strike a balance between the cost and benefit , we can get a win-win result. But if we are worried to take any action due to the cost , we will definitely lose a great deal.
To sum up , Although great effort is needed to preserve rare species, we should try our best to save those that are subject to our destructions .Only when we spare no effort to species preservation ,can we human being protect a more harmonious planet.
