A scientific theory is a good theory if it satisfies two requirements:it must accurately describe a large class of observations in terms of a model that is simple enough to contain only a few elements,and it must make definite preictions about the results of future observations .for example ,aristotle's cosmological theory,which claimed that everything was made out of four elements-earth ,air,fire,and water-satisfied the fist requirement,but it did mot make any definite predictions.so it is not a good theory.

if all the statements in the passage are true ,eash of the following must also be true EXCEPT:

A )Prediction about the results of future observations must be made by any good scientific theory

B) Observation of physical phenomena was not a major concern in Aristotle's cosmological theory.

C) Elements that is simple enough to meet the simplicity criterion of a good theory can be the basis of a scientific model

D) A scientific model that contains many elements is not a good theory.

E) Aristotle's cosmological theory described a large class of observations in terms of only four elements .
答案是B 我同意但是求问A为什么对呢？原文说， it must make definite preictions about the results of future observations 但是反过来是不能证明的啊？？？？

如果在你这里preiction和prediction是一个意思的话，那A是对的啊，意思是A一定推出B，B一定能被A推出，这不一样么？

原文是 it must make definite predictions about the results of future observations 说好的theory一定可以对未来观察的结果做出预测，选项是Prediction about the results of future observations must be made by any good scientific theory对未来结果的预测一定是好的theory做出来的。

A一定能推出B，但B 不一定只能由A推出来啊，比如我今天吃了十碗饭让我现在很饱，但是我现在很饱不一定是因为我吃了十碗饭，也可能是因为我吃了十个大蛋糕啊.......

从语法的角度看，这两句话意思是完全一样的，所以是对的。
