关于HBS的第二篇essay

HBS的第二篇essay是：Tell us three setbacks you have faced.
看到网上的一些建议是setback不等同于failure, setback indicates 这件事情最后其实是做成功了。但是这一篇又不仅是向admin show off另外三个你克服了种种困难最后成功了的例子。我自己感觉这个balance比较难写，请大牛同学们指点。

我觉得第一篇的三个achievements还能体现你为什么觉得这是你最重要的成就,体现你的value.而第二篇的setback最终的结果可以成功,也可以中性.但看重的是你怎么克服setback体现的素质.

重点在：setback 不等于 failure，约等于 = frastration。楼主说的对。

Hey there—yes, the key is to show that while there was a “setback,” you were able to overcome it. Now, if you were unable to overcome it (but still needed to write about it, for example) you could still talk about it in your apps—but you should absolutely talk about what you LEARNED along the way—and also, talk about another instance where you came upon a similar situation but this time OVERCAME the challenge. Show us that you have LEARNED your lesson, very specifically. And then, you should be fine. Take it from me, I went to HBS… ; )

A setback is an event that delays your progress or reverses some of the progress that you have made.

所以，No mention of failure. Less result oriented but focus on the progress

中文可以理解为挫折，不幸之类的，肯定不是失败。
