Newsletter: A condominium generally offers more value for its cost than an individual house because of economies of scale. The homeowners in a condominium association can collectively buy products and services that they could not afford on their own. And since a professional management company handles maintenance of common areas, condominium owners spend less time and money on maintenance than individual homeowners do.

The two portions in boldface play which of the following roles in the newsletter`s argument?

真的想不通为什么第一句是main conclusion ，个人理解是由于规模经济才会使人均花费降低，原因是前一句因为管理公司解决公共区域设备维修

你看后面的内容都是再说前面的condominium的好处呀也就是为了支撑觉得C比I好的论证呀这个结构的话就是直说结论然后再例举evidence去证明。我觉得boldface题其实跟阅读很像分清每个句子的作用答案直接就出来了

答案是A？

第一段：因为一些经济效益，买condon相比买独栋别墅能给业主提供更多的价值。
第二段：condon的业主不需要花太多时间在房屋维护，因为有个一个房屋管理团队。

第二段的bold只是后半段，前半段说了个缘由（premise）“房屋管理团队的存在”，所以bold这段是很明显的一个conclusion。

这个conclusion表明了condon业主在打理方面花费的时间不多，相比第一段它更细节化，更像是第一段衍生出的一个例子。其他例子还有第二句（并没有被加粗）。

因此我认为第二段中的conclusion为阶段性conclusion，主要为更大的一个main conclusion服务。

建议楼主看看OG，

OG上把Argument中的各个部分分成了各种building blocks，其中有一类叫做Intermediate conclusion，并不是真正的final conclusion

这一题中的the second boldface part就是一个intermediate conclusion，前一句是它的premis

而该intermediate conclusion又是第一个boldface part/final conclusion 的premise

可以用添加“因为所以”的方式判断哪一个是intermediate/final conclusion

这题明显是可以说“因为condo的住户比house的住户花更少的成本维护自己的住房，所以condo往往性价比更好”

而你显然不可以把这个因为所以给对调位置。

第一句，C比I因为经济体量差距更有性价比，第二局支持了第一句，第三句支持了第四句，C比I可以少花时间和钱在维护上。第一句和第四句并不存在一个前提和结论的关系，应该选A吧
