[求助]我很困惑,不知道应不应该在坚持

说实话, 没到这个论坛看贴子时我自己都快坚持不下去了.

我有一个问题想请教大家, 我在国内已经在读硕士了, 但是2006年才能毕业, 在我拿到毕业证之前我能向学校申请PHD吗? 前一阶段正好有机会去了一次北美, 回来之后就打算去北美读PHD, 但是, 我的很多朋友都说申请PHD的奖学金挺难的,  需要很好的GMAT 成绩和很好的本科成绩.而我的本科是自学考试的, 不过我现在读硕士的学校是国内综合排名前十的学校, 不知道这对我有没有帮助?

看你想申请哪一年入学啦。。我在学校的时候，有同学在研2的时候就出去了，这就意味着他放弃国内的研究生学历了；也有同学是等到国内的硕士文凭到手再出去。。都可以啦，看你自己的取舍。。。

读硕的学校和在读期间的成绩估计对申请影响不是最大的，关键是看你在这段时间给老板或导师做了哪些研究项目，研究是不是对老外教授们的胃口，我想这些对申请才是更有帮助的~~~~如果你真打算申请PHD的话，应该准备考GRE而不是GMAT啦。。好象绝大多数PHD的课程是要GRE成绩的。。而且奖学金也比GMAT的MBA丰富的说~~~

I think all PhD will have some financial assistantship and that is why it is quite competitive. I do not know whether you can transfer credit at all or the school here ackhowledge the master degree earned in China after you complete your master in China. If yes, then you can finish your master and come to the US for the PhD part (3 years?). If not, and you want to come here for PhD anyway, you might consider giving up your master. Talk to some of the programs you are interested in and find it out.
