Unofficial placement statistics from last year's class based on what I heard at school. All placements are in Canada.
Analyst, Bank of Canada Sales & Trading, BMO Capital Market Investment Banking Analyst, TD Securities Investment Banking Analyst (company unknown; this person left the program and went to work as soon as got the job offer) Analyst in Structured Products Group, National Bank Financials (this person is non-traditional, got PhD in engineering from Ivy League)
This year so far, again based on what I heard: Mortgage Backed Securities Officer, RBC Capital Market Equity Research Associate, TD Securities
Some of them are Asians, but all of them are highly fluent in English. There are approx. 25 ppl in this year's class. Nearly all international students did their undergrad in Canada or USA.
Overall, it's very hard to get into Investment Banking and Sales & Trading. Successful factors include top GPA, previous internship exp, good commuication skills, being outspoken & outgoing etc... |
