What is the volume of a certain rectangular solid?
(1) Two adjacent faces of the solid have areas 15 and 24, respectively.
(2) Each of two opposite faces of the solid has area 40.

answer is C

(2)中是不是说任意两个相对的面的面积都是40？这样的话不就是说每个面都是40了，跟15和24矛盾了啊
这个each of two opposite faces 怎么理解呢？觉得题目意思不明确，求指教啊

You should think in 3-D instead of 2-D. 15, 24, and 40 are three adjacent faces of the solid sharing one vertex (point).
