PR 模考中一题

A newly discovered disease is thought to be caused by a certain bacteria. However, recently released data shows that the bacteria dhtives in the presence of a certain virus,implying that it is acturally the virus that causes the new disease.

which of the following pieces of evidence would most support the data implication?

1 The virus has been shown to aid the growth of the bacteria , a process which often leads to onset of the disease.

2 The virus alone has been observed in many cases of disease.

真是搞笑，把题目敲在这里的时候突然看懂了，还有一点疑问1在这里是不是也有support 作用呢？

原来对1 理解是 virus aid bacteria growth, ------->process cause the disease  但是后来觉得也可以理解为 virus  只是促使了onset of disease, 当然觉得2 是比较清楚地，如果没有比较，那么1是否有support 呢？
